I bought this Blu-Ray player on sale for under $100 and I thought I got a STEAL. Little did I know....I was stolen from.This item is nothing more than a fancy New Years Noise Maker that would be late to its own party, it's that slow.1) It literally takes about a minute or minute and a half to eject a disc. Really? While my other $29 regular DVD player immediately ejects a disc, this one MUST start the movie first...then eject.2) The Noise coming out of this unit is insanely loud. It sounds like your driving 80mph over the safety wake up strips on the side of the highway. I personally think it's a design flaw as it does get quieter as you get further into the movie (at least 30 mins in) - meaning, the balancing may be off. My other $29 regular DVD player plays so quietly, you hardly know its on. This will literally wake your kids up (on the second floor!)3) The remote control response is insanely slow and unpredictable. How frustrating is it when you're trying to pause the movie and a) you can't find the button and b) it takes 3 or 4 clicks before the dvd player catches it - and you're literally directly in front! What worse is when you hit the play button to start, its sounds like your playing hungry hungry hippos. I'm not kidding.4) This DVD player does do a great job up-converting a standard DVD - it really does. Blu-Ray picture is excellent - but what good are the cool menus with the previous complaint with the remote?If you're thinking about purchasing this DVD Player - Please think twice.It's not worth the bottles of Excedrin you'll need to compensate.
