I'm in the middle of redoing a studio setup (hence the mess in the photos), and these were perfect for putting on a desk top to hold (mostly) shallow modules that don't need a full rack case. They are quick and easy to assemble, thanks to the type of nuts used, and are super sturdy. One rack even has several very heavy and deep/long synthesizer modules near the top, and the rack is still quite sturdy due to the thickness of the base plates, even without screwing it down. Highly recommended.
