First projector purchase, so I’m no expert but definitely did a lot of reading up on and consideration from a price point willingness between $500-200 (based on reading many a consumer/electronic reports like reviews, I decided quality within this price range should get us where we wanted for outdoor viewing without disappointment). The projector is impressively small for what it puts out. We bought a $32 movie screen and use bungee cords to stretch it smooth between two posts. We project a roughly 8-9’ wide picture and even with a (non raging) fire pit, the picture was still very clear and bright. I luckily had a light weight camera tripod that this projector easily mounts to, which made for easy set up and stability, but a couple of books stacked on a table, a stool, or some milk crates could do the trick just as well : )There is a tiny built in speaker that our daughter is fine with just watching in her bedroom with a picture about 3 to feet wide. However outside we definitely needed to opt for an external speaker hook up and this is where my main disappointment came into play.Despite there being a setting to sync the lip movement, with the audio coming from the JBL Bluetooth speaker we linked to it, we felt like the sound and picture were never on time with one another. In some cases, with social things going on, it wasn’t a big deal, but when you want to seriously watch a movie, it was distracting. So, we got a 10’ head phone audio cable, plugged into the projector, then plugged into our Sony blue tooth and that “hard wiring” did the trick!!! Like a pop-up home movie theater outdoors. The battery life is as it says, roughly 2hrs, and all in all for a first time, portable projector purchase, I’m very happy. IT DOES NOT SYNC WIRELESSLY with iPhone, but we planned to use an hdmi to our Apple TV, and were streaming outside of our house within WiFi range so things work fantastically. Fire stick also easy. Just have an extension chord or external charger for fire stick or the likes. If you have android I think it’s a seamless wireless connection and stream. Again, happy with the projector.I think he likes it.Definitely not bright enough. Attempted to give a presentation ration and all we could do was bitch about not being able to see it in a room with the lights off. At most, use this to watch a movie in a tent. Otherwise, spend more money. My $400 Brookstone pocket projector that I bought 10 years ago works better.I REALLY wanted to love this but I tried several locations in my home and outside and was not satisfied with the picture quality. The sound is low as well. Thankfully I had a speaker to plug in so testing was audible. I expected more given previous reviews. I'll have to bite the bullet and spend more
