My dishwasher is working again saving me a lot of money not to need a replacement yet!This unit is louder than the factory unit, know that going in. It works, and is fairly easy to install, took about 45 minutes.Easy to replace and worked just fine. The issue might be the seal in the sump not the motor. The seal is part of sump assembly and therefore expensive to replace. I carefully cleaned it and replaced the O-ring that applies pressure on the motor shaft. I coated both the shaft and rubber seal with silicone grease to ease assembly and hopefully lubricate the shaft and seal. If water leaks through the seal the motor won't last to long. The previous motor failed because of water leaking through the seal.One should consider replacing the whole sump and pump assembly for a long term fix, but that is much more expensive. At this point one might want to consider a new dishwasher depending on the condition of the rest of the dishwasher. I was looking for a short term fix and hoped it would last over time.Easy to install, very straightforward. When LG dishwasher was new you could barely hear it. When the old motor failed it was so loud you could not hear over it. New motor is surprisingly louder than I would have thought. Seems to work fine so far. Just go in the other room.Perfect fit. Genuine LG part. Pay attention to the seal that caused the motor to burn out or start making a bad noise. There’s a tension spring on the top side of the seal. Clean it well and add silicone grease. It seems this part will eventually go out from occasional dripping. Mine lasted 5 years. While you have the washer out clean the level reservoir. That’ll be the next to malfunction.My LG unit started making some real laboring noises and dishes weren't coming out clean. Figured I'd try this for $100 rather than replacing the entire dishwasher. Glad I did. Used repair clinic to find instalation videos and it's up and running as if it were new!Product arrived on time. It was just as described. Installed and worked fine .I ordered the circulation pump that was not brand new, but it was supposed to be in 'very good' condition. The motor arrived and I installed the replacement motor. I gave the 2 star rating because it is extremely loud and sounds like an airplane is taking off now, but it works so there's that. I don't know if I got one that is on it's way out, but hopefully it will last. I will say that the dishes do come out clean, but now I know why real estate is cheaper when it's close to a runway:-)It arrived broken. Total waste of money
