Simple replacement of this updated pcb eliminated a safety and functional issue with the lights staying on inside my Kenmore Elite refrigerator manufactured by LG. Five minutes to pull out the refrigerator and change the board. Problem solved!Our refer light cam on randomly, then failed all together. The light in the freezer door always worked. This upgraded board did the trick. The relay for the refer section is larger that OEM board had.Wow! I thought I was nuts buying this part for just under 50 dollars. I'm thinking what's wrong with it!!! Lol. I inspected it when I received it and it looked good. I put it in and it worked awesome. Thank you. Everyone else was asking for 100 plus for the part. Thank you.Our LG French Door refrigerator's lights stayed on even after we closed the door. It caused the plastic housing to melt and 'warm' up the fridge temp. Just like the other reviewer, we tested the switch and it works just fine. So, we thought it must be the PCB. This board fixed the problem for us, and now our fridge works well, and the lights turn off when we close the door, as they should.Solved my problem (light staying on all the time, door switch replaced and was not the problem). Too bad my warrantee ended just a couple months before this went out! However, by following the install video, it was easy to fix (less than 15 minutes!) and the shipment was quick and well secured in the packaging.At first I though the refrigerator lights would not come on. However, upon further investigation I found that the refrigerator lights were staying on and would shut off once the thermostat in the lamp housing kicked in to prevent the housing from overheating. Once the housing cooled the lights would turn on and the cycle would repeat. In my case the door switches were fine and this board solved the problem. I suspect one of the relays on the board went bad.It worked great. To bad they don't want old board back. Good price.This replacement board worked exactly as intended, and fixed my "ER FF" Issue. After plugging my fridge in after being dormant for several months, by LG refrigerator failed to cool. After installing this new board, I put into TEST mode 3 to fully defrost the evaporator until it was completely clear. Fridge then regained full functionality and began cooling again!
